As someone who has long been a HomePod skeptic — great sound, wrong strategy — this new handoff feature actually looks pretty great. It sounded cool when Apple first talked about it, but seeing it in action brings it home as one of those things Apple is uniquely positioned to do in the magical sense thanks to tight hardware/software/ecosystem integration.

Sadly, it doesn’t work with the OG, too late, too-expensive, HomePod, only the new HomePod mini, thanks to the U1 chip.
